Aslim's first album Gelgit -released in 2000 was more of an alternative pop album. However, she switched back to rock for her later releases, one of which is her second album, "Gülyabani"-released in 2005. Her hit "Senin Gibi" was used in Fatih Akin’s Berlin Golden Bear Film "Gegen Die Wand (Head on)" and adapted to Greek. Another song of Aslim, "Keşke" was used in Kutluğ Ataman’s Golden Orange winner film Two Girls.
